Five more sleeps!
Goodnight Irene! Can you believe there are only 5 more sleeps until Shaun and I get married??
We just got back from a trip to Kingston. Yesterday morning we picked up my dress at Sinders in Carleton Place then high-tailed it to K-Town to get the dress set up at Mom & Dad's. After dropping off the dress (and le pooch) we went to Home Depot with Shaun's dad & stepmom (Bob & Carol respectively) so we could show them our renovating ideas for the upstairs bathroom. These people are our Reno Gurus and we trust their advice (usually) without question. After the hardware we went to Montana's for lunch where Bob kept hinting that he's not getting any younger and grand-children are welcome :) Subtle, I know.
We headed back to Mom & Dad's to find them napping with les pooches (Mikey and Maggie) so we relaxed for awhile before dinner - ribs and our first corn-on-the-cob of the season. Very good.
This morning we tried to sleep in but Mikey jumped on my bladder and I nearly wet the bed. That pretty much put the kibosh on getting back to sleep. Got up and Mom had made a nice breakfast for us. Then I dragged Shaun to Michael's and Buck Or Two for some last-minute wedding reception items (and a cute "Bride" button for me to wear this week.) We met our photographer and his wife (slash assistant) at Tim Horton's at 2pm to review what we wanted for pictures and where to have them taken, etc. Turns out I went to high school with his wife! She graduated a year after me and, in my last high school yearbook, is situated right beside one of my then-best-friends.
We left Kingston and headed to Shaun's mom & stepdad's (Cathy & Jim respectively). They cooked us a nice roast dinner and we chatted about more wedding stuff. Mikey thumped at light reflections on the floor and completely tuckered himself out. Then he ate some Kleenex (ewwww) and we're still waiting for it to make its re-appearance.
Tomorrow I have to finish the place cards, print the programs, work on the seating chart, and get packed for the honeymoon. At least tomorrow is a holiday... then just two days of work and I'm gone to Kingston! Yippee!
So stay tuned... I may just be posting another dress picture this week!
P.S. We've named the Outlander "Mitsu" for now. Props to Ron for coming up with that :) The only names I had were Sylvie (short for the color silver) and Outti (like the belly button... but Shaun thought people would think Audi and then we'd just look like nerds.)
