Ryder into the end zone!

So now I'm addicted to blogging AND Facebook. Like I have the time for this!

Last night Shaun and I saw "Blades of Glory" and WOW it was so funny. The theatre was packed! You know it's a good movie when the entire audience is laughing. Jon Heder really does look feminine with that hair cut...

Today Mom and I went to the Wedding Show at Lansdowne. I got a good deal for the tuxedos - $30 off the regular price at Moore's, which has the tux we like anyways so it worked out well! I got 3 new bridal magazines, some Dove products and I entered draws for a bunch of stuff including $1000 towards our honeymoon from Marlin Travel.

Then we popped over to Rob McIntosh so I could add a couple more items to our registry. Tomorrow there is a wedding event at Michael's so I'm going to pop over and get some ideas for our centerpieces.

We just finished watching "Pay It Forward" which I'd never seen before. Oh did I cry at the end, it was so sad!

And ladies, stay tuned... a new dress for the game is coming this week!!

Gonna drop a little James Brown!

I forget what Shaun and I were watching the other night but warning: it's a poo joke so stop reading if that grosses you out...Some guy had to go #2 and said he was going drop a little James Brown - it would be "funky". I swear, we laughed for about 10 minutes (and the guy on t.v. said it funnier than I just did.) I can't remember the show but Shaun was using that line whenever possible over the weekend. That's my fiance!

So, the photographer has been booked, and we're all registered at The Bay and Rob McIntosh. Next is the invitations, which I've decided NOT to do myself, to spare my sanity. I do not have any free weekends coming up, and if we did our own invitations it would be at least a weekend job. Then we thought of how upset we'd be if they didn't turn out and we'd have to order invitations anyways. So, we're skipping the middle man. We've found a design we both really like so I will probably order those before the beginning of April.

Friday night we went to see "Reign Over Me" starring Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. It was amazing. Ah - may - zing.

Last night we went to B&B Theatres in Kanata and saw "Blood Diamond" followed by "Stranger Than Fiction", both which I loved. Not a big Leonardo DiCaprio fan, but the movie overall was very powerful. We also borrowed a couple of movies from B&B -"Nacho Libre", which we're going to burn a copy of, and "School Of Rock" which I have not seen but have heard Jack Black is very good in it.

This is the picture of Shaun and I that we used for our engagement photo in the paper. It was taken nearly 2 years ago by Shaun's uncle James. Enjoy!

And yes, girls, another dress picture will be posted soon!

Icicles are pointy!

I say this as I watch them fall off my eavestrough and onto our front walkway. I am also thankful the did not fall on me when I came home today.

Wedding update: we've booked the cake lady! She does it out of her home in Kingston and is going to do the cake I picked out of a magazine. It's just a simple, three tier fondant cake with ribbon and a single flower on top (which will either be an orchid or a dahlia). We're saving over $250 vs. the other cake place I got a quote from.

I'm still on the hunt for a photographer but I found two this weekend and they are both amazing, so I've contacted each to see who is available. I really, really need to get my shoes, undergarments and crinoline for my dress, as I'll need to take them to my fitting at the end of May.

But guess what? It's less than one month until my 28th birthday! Yippee!

This is a picture of me at age 2. I was going for that wind-blown look...

I'm Mr. Lonely

Actually, I'm Mrs. Flu. I hate, hate, hate being sick. I tried to go to work today. Well, actually, I did go to work today and left after an hour. At least my fever has gone down but I still feel weak and short of breath. And my glands are the size of golf balls.

I did watch the entire Season 3 of Friends on Sunday and Monday. I only have seasons 3 and 10 so far but it's so much better watching the episodes in sequence.

No news on the wedding front. I'm rather annoyed that I can't get ahold of this one photographer in Kingston. They have this flashy website and can even afford a toll free number but cannot seem to find the time to return my call. What's that about?

This is just a cute picture of Mikey that I love. It was taken a couple of years ago at Tauvette Park near our house. Mikey's so funny when I'm sick. He'll try anything to get up on the couch with me. Trying to dissuade him is like trying to convince a three-year-old that toy stores are boring. So I moved the coffee table and put his bed right up against the couch so he could be close to me. We had a good nap this afternoon!

Isn't my dog the CUTEST???
